UN-convened Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance
Convened by the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance is a group of 70 institutional investors delivering on a bold commitment to transition their investment portfolios to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The Alliance shows united investor action to align portfolios with a 1.5°C scenario, addressing Article 2.1c of the Paris Agreement. Part of the Race to Zero campaign and supported by the WWF and Christiane Figueres's Global Optimism, the members commit themselves and work to lead others to the highest ambition to date in driving sustainable economies.
Oliver Wagg leads communications for the Alliance, developing and implementing a multichannel communications strategy for the influential group of institutional investors, including media relations, social media and advice to members, UNEP FI communications team and the Alliance communications working group. Oliver managed the production of the Alliance’s video: Why target-setting matters (see below)
In 2021, Oliver spearheads the Alliance’s event and content strategy in the build-up to COP26 in November. Oliver is a member of the Investor Agenda Communications Working Group representing both UNEP FI and the Alliance.
